Gilles Zancanaro is a graduate of École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC). He began his career in the finance department at Pechiney where he held various posts in internal audit and cash management from 1978 to 1984. From 1984 to 1987, he was Chief Financial Officer at the international trading group Unidaf. He joined Bouygues in 1987 as Director of Cash Management before becoming CEO in 1990 of Caisse Auxiliaire de Crédit et de Trésorerie – CATC (the bank of Grands Moulins de Paris group, a former Bouygues subsidiary). He was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Bouygues Bâtiment International in 1994, then Chief Financial Officer of Bouygues Construction from 1997 to 2003. He joined the parent company Bouygues SA in 2003, where he was successively Group Information Systems-Finance Director and Group Accounting, Risk and Information Systems Director.
He was appointed Senior Vice-President, Digital, Innovation and Risks for the Bouygues group on 1 September 2019.
